A seasoned communications professional, and a proven strategist and advisor, Irene Karamitsou has over 20 years of industry experience.
Impelled by her critical business and analytical acumen, market-insight, and solution-driven approach, Irene has provided strategic consultancy to an expansive portfolio of private and public sector organizations across multiple geographies, spearheading communications, and marketing efforts, to strengthen brand capital, increase market share, safeguard corporate reputation, and enhance positioning.
She started her communications career in 2002 working for one of the largest advertising agencies in the MENA, before making a lateral shift to head the communications and marketing unit of a Bahrain-based real estate developer. Over the years she has formulated and executed many integrated marketing, communications, branding and digital strategies for entities spanning telecom, aviation, real estate, energy, banking & finance, logistics, hospitality, government, and retail sectors among others.
Irene currently leads core business functions at TRACCS Bahrain, and is passionate about grooming and empowering the new generation of communications practitioners through mentorship, skill development and knowledge-building. Irene leverages her holistic perspective having served both in-agency and in-company to provide strategic counsel to clients and oversees the design and implementation of internal processes, procedures and systems across key departments to ensure seamless portfolio management and sustained client retention rates.
Target-oriented, with demonstrated ability in driving business development, Irene is heavily involved in identifying opportunity growth leads and boosting revenues and profitability for TRACCS Bahrain.
Raised in Bahrain, Irene completed her secondary and higher-level education in the United Kingdom and is a graduate of Leeds University.
